May 2012

While we were waiting for our baby Skittles to be ready, we were busy ordering some pet supplies on the internet. We scored this awesome pop-up travel bowl,

and Faith found the perfect identification tag. She figured that a sparkly rainbow was a necessity for a dog named Skittles (the candy's tagline is "taste the rainbow") and finally managed to find one!

The day finally arrived and we got to bring home our baby on May 3rd.

On the 5th we took a drive down south. Faith chose to do her county report on Utah County and needed to visit and take some pictures. We ate our favorite giant turkey sandwiches picnic style at a nearby business's bowery,

then fed the ducks at the business park.

On the 12th we went to the Davis County School District 100 year celebration at Centennial Jr. High. We bought some tickets to play games and also got this picture.

The magic show was pretty lame, but Skittles enjoyed some snuggle time.

The kids got face painting and stenciled tatoos.

Next, we went to the first ever Kaysville Baby Animal Days.

They did a coffee filter butterfly craft.

Buddy made a target instead of a butterfly :)

We weren't impressed at all with the petting zoo portion, but loved this tent. The kids got to hold ducklings,

chicks

and bunnies,

and even got a pony ride!

On the 13th, Mother's Day, we stopped by Grandma and Grandpa Quinn's because we hadn't seen Grandpa in awhile.

Tammy took this picture of me with my darling kids over at their house later that day.

The kids love making Skittles houses, forts, and beds out of couch cushions.

She also gets strolled around

On the 18th Tammy took the kids to Heritage Elementary's Tenth Birthday Party. The kids got painted up, played games, ate sandwiches, cotton candy and slushies.

Faith is so good at giving Skittles her baths. Wet, she looks like a drowned rat!

The kids still do some Lowe's projects, but not as many. Here's one from the 24th.

Grandma Peterson got the kids some painted lady catterpilars again. She wasn't planning on it, but Christian mentioned to me that since she had done this the last two springs, that she surely would again. Grandma can't resist making her little Buddy smile. We released them on the 24th.

Just for fun on Memorial day, the 28th, we broke out our cotton candy machine.

Tony had also gotten the kids some new rockets and we blasted them off at the park near where South Ogden Jr. High used to be. Grandma & Grandpa Peterson, Grandma Braegger, and Tammy all came to watch.

The wind picked up and one of ours ended up over a half mile from the park! Amazingly, after driving around for awhile, we found it in the front yard of one of Tony's boyhood friends.

On the 31st Buddy and I volunteered to help out with field day at the elementary. It was hot, boring for Christian during the morning session (Faith's was out for the afternoon session and he got to do the activities with her), and I nearly lost my voice trying to shout game instructions to the kids over the roar of half the school kids having fun, but it was still a good time!

That evening was Christian's end of preschool party at Forbush park near the Farmington city building. There was a barbeque and a darling program where Buddy got to be the sun in a costume he created!

Miss Kelly was the most awesome preschool teacher and we already miss her sooooo much!
